Formal is afoot

So, I'm still really baffled that Davis somehow won formal king (it's technically "prince" until you're a senior, but king sounds so much more kickass). It has not really registered yet.

This is how it went down:
It's French class on Thursday, the last final we have for the week. Everybody is done with their test and a call slip gets delivered. It's for Davis. Now, most of the time, call slips are for confrontations regarding something bad a student did. Everybody knows this, so the obligatory "ooooohhhh davis... busstedd" happens when he went up to get his call slip. He leaves. About ten or fifteen minutes later, he slowly walks back in, with a really confused expression. One guy goes "dude, how was it?" and Davis very timidly replies with a "...fine". I'm just as confused as the expression Davis is wearing, and I ask him what happened. He slowly saunters over to my desk, and after a few moments of silence, goes "... I... am formal king".

...And he got so excited that he fell asleep.

erin tried to wake him up, to no avail

peace out biznatches, next time i write here i'll have formal'd it up

Finals week!

(an artist's professional interpretation of erin and pace)

It's finals week, and everybody says things like "oh, I have my hard finals today, but then the rest are easy" or "I have my hard final tomorrow" -- dude, all of my finals are hard. I'm actually studying. I haven't studied anything this vigorously in... hmm... ever.

But that's okay, because this week ends off with, drumroll, winter formal! i didn't go last year, and I've already dragged my friends down with me into the depths of mainstream and conformity, so why the hell not go the whole way and get dressed up and pay too much money on looking good one night? it should be a blast, I say. The group is davis and I, erin and pace, and michael and katie
. It is definitely a small group, but whatever man, at least we're going.

The funniest part about this formal thing is that last week, I rounded up a bunch of people to vote for davis for formal king--it wasn't necessarily a joke,
but I knew in the back of my head that he totally wouldn't get nominated. BUT HE DID. HE GOT NOMINATED. If he actually wins, I'm going to cry with joy and in hysterical laughter. King Davis; is that not suiting?

update: DAVIS WON FORMAL KING.
WHAT THE FUCK? :D
